When it comes to glazing your conservatory roof, The Window Centre offers you two main options: 35mm Polycarbonate or Glass.

Polycarbonate is a special type of translucent plastic that is used in most conservatory roofs. It has been developed to provide a light, inexpensive and easy to install alternative to glass, whilst still offering similar levels of heat insulation and light transmission to standard double glazing.

Whilst some companies offer cheap thin polycarbonate The Window Centre only offers you a 35mm system, which is 40% thicker than ordinary polycarbonate provides exceptional levels of thermal insulation, keeping you warm in winter and cool in summer, whilst at the same time, reducing sound transmission and unwanted glare.

Our Polycarbonate system is available in a range of shades Clear, Opal, Bronze and Bronze on Opal.

Celsius Glass roof system

Glass has probably always been most people’s preferred choice for roof glazing, its weight, fragile nature and poor heat insulation/reflection properties used to make it somewhat impractical. Now all that has changed.

The Window Centre can offer you a unique range of performance glass specifically engineered for use in conservatory roofs. Known as Celsius, this glass has a unique micro-coating which enables it to deflect excessive heat from the sun away from the conservatory and to reflect heat from inside the home back into the property. In this way, Celsius keeps conservatories warm in winter and cool in summer, helping to create a room for all seasons. Further benefits include increased sound insulation, a subtle blue tint to minimise glare and a special easy clean coating which reduces the need for manual cleaning. Plus, with Celsius, you enjoy a clear view through the roof and benefit from the feeling of light and space that a glass roof brings.

Feature Glazing. From plain glass to stained glass and a wide range of options in-between, you can personalise your conservatory with feature glazing. Leaded effects and inset shapes can redefine the way you see your windows while full colour glass panels create wonderful light effects and real character.

Windows. Choose a fully glazed conservatory with standard openings or possibly tilt-turn designs. Alternatively you may prefer a small 'dwarf wall' to give your conservatory a more conventional style. Or perhaps panels in white or woodgrain will offset your design more effectively.

Doors You may find that traditional French doors match the tone of your home - but don't forget that you have the option of a wide range of patio doors and single doors.
